Ingredients:

  • the biggest pot you got a two biggest pots you got, or borrow a gib 'ol pot from someone
  • 2 medium turnups- pelled
  • 2 medium green cabbages
  • 2 medium onion- peeled
  • 1/2 lb collid greens or turnup greens
  • 6-8 peices of salt beef
  • or corned beef if your cant find salt beef they are pretty much the same thing if your unsre of what it is google what is salt beef and look for the wikipedia answer

Directions:

  1. All your veggies should be peeled and washed
  2. Chop all veggies into chucnks
  3. And place into a large boil of cold water
  4. Set them to the side
  5. In your largest pot bring water and salt beef to a boil
  6. Let it boil for about 3 hrs
  7. Straning off half the water
  8. Now add the veggies into the pot with the salt beef and halfed water
  9. Add more water and let it boil / simmer untill your serving supper
  10. The veggies should be super tender, you chould chop it with a spoon lol
  11. This meal is best served with a big turky dinner or big ham dinner
  12. In NFLD they have a jigs dinner and
  13. When your serving use a ladel with straining holes and save the juices (we call it pot liquer.. if someone isnt feeling well give them a cup of pot liqure all the nuterents from the veggies will make them well!)
  14. The juices can be used for anything and everything
  15. Use some in your gravy, save some in a freezer bag for stews, or chowders, can be frozen for up to a yr !
