Ingredients:

  • 3 cups dried apples
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup salad oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2-1 cup nuts (wal are best)
  • 1 (6 oz) jar cherries
  • 1 1/2 dates
  • 3/4 lb pitted dates

Directions:

  1. Pour sugar on apples in large bowl, let stand at least 25 mins or overnight. Add salad oil, eggs. Stir well. Sift dry ingredients together and onto apple mixture. Add nuts, dates, cherries. Pour into well greased and floured angel food cake pan. Bake at 325 for 1 3/4 to 2 hours.
