Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup uncooked oatmeal
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 1/2 cup apples sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. -Mix dry ingred. in a bowl, add melted butter and mix well. Set aside 3/4 c. of this mixture.
  2. _Coat bottom and sides of a 9 pan with remaining mixture. Refrigerate.
  3. -Heat oven to 375* F. (moderate)
  4. -Prepare apples
  5. -Mix sugar and cinnamon with apples.
  6. -Put this mixture in the coated pre-dish.
  7. -Sprinkle the top with remaining 3/4 cup oatmeal mixture.
  8. -Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the pie is tender and slightly brown.
