Ingredients:

  • 1 lb crabmeat
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tblsp parsley
  • 2 tblsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tblsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tblsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed

Directions:

  1. Dry the crab meat well with papertowels.
  2. Then gently fold in the remaining ingredients.
  3. Divide this mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into tight rounded cakes.
  4. Sprinkle some bread crumbs on your work surface Press the top of each cake into the crumbs and then place, crumb side down on a plate and refrigerate for 1 hour or up to 8 hours.
  5. Grease a small rimmed baking sheet with 1 tblsp of softened butter.
  6. Place the cakes onto the prepared caking sheet, crumb side down.
  7. Adjust oven rack to the upper-middle position and broil the cakes until they are golden brown, approx 12 to 15 minutes
