Ingredients:

  • 1/4 oz dry yeast (1 pk)
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp dill seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg , unbeaten
  • 2 1/4-2 1/2 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Heat cottage cheese and butter together.
  2. Soften yeast in warm water.
  3. Combine in mixing bowl: cottage cheese, butter, sugar, onion, dill seed, salt, baking soda, egg and softened yeast.
  4. Add flour to form stiff dough, beating well after each addition.
  5. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  6. Knead down dough.
  7. Make into round balls and put in greased pan.
  8. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes.
