Maple Jell-o Style Gelatin

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of neutral gelatin (1 envelope , ie knox brand)
  • 1 1/4 cups maple syrup
  • 1 1/4 cups fruit juice ( apple , cranberry , pear , melon etc...)
  • 1 cup fruit (well drained salad, berries etc...)

Directions:

  1. Place gelatin in a small bowl, add 60 ml (1/4 cup) fruit juice.
  2. Let sit fore 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, heat maple syrup in a pot.
  4. Add the gelatin to the warm syrup and stir until completely dissolved.
  5. Add the rest of the fruit juice and pour into a mold.
  6. Refrigerate until the jello sets.
  7. To serve, cut into cubes and place in a dessert coupe.
  8. Garnish with the fruit salad or berries.
