  1. In a medium non-reactive saucepan, combine tomatoes with their juice, water, celery, onion, potato, bell pepper, and thyme. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium, and simmer uncovered until vegetables are just tender, 7 to 10 minutes.
  2. Add clams with their liquid and lemon juice. Simmer 2 minutes. Season w/ salt and pepper and serve hot.
