Mackinac Island Maple Walnut Fudge

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk or 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup walnuts

Directions:

  1. Mix flour and sugar in a saucepan.
  2. Add maple syrup, corn syrup and milk.
  3. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally to soft ball stage (232-236 degrees).
  4. Remove from heat and drop butter on top.
  5. Cool to lukewarm;.
  6. Beat until glossy look begins to leave.
  7. Pour quickly into butter pan.
