Machine Shed Applesauce Sweet Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups applesauce

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Grease bottoms and sides of 2 8x4x2 pans.
  3. In medium bowl, stir together flour, soda and salt; set aside.
  4. Beat butter in large bowl with mixer for 30 seconds.
  5. Add sugar and beat until mixed well.
  6. Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla.
  7. Beat in applesauce.
  8. Beat in flour until combined.
  9. Divide mixture between prepared pans.
  10. Sprinkle tops of each with cinnamon sugar.
  11. Bake 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes, remove from pans and cool completely.
  13. Cut in 3 squares.
