Giant Crisp Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Mix together the flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
  2. Cream the butter till fluffy.
  3. Gradually beat in the sugar till light.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla till blended and fluffy.
  5. Stir in the flour mixture, chocolate bits and nuts and mix well.
  6. Shape into 2-inch balls and place 3-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet (6 on each).
  7. Bake on middle rack of oven at 350° for 20-23 minutes or till golden and edges are lightly browned.
