Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 8 tsp splenda
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Combine cornstarch and cocoa.
  2. Whisk into cold water in a saucepan until there are no dry bits.
  3. Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Stir 1 minute until mixture thickens.
  5. Add chocolate chips (optional - the sauce lacks a richness of flavour without some real chocolate in there)
  6. Remove from heat, stir in sweetener and vanilla, cover and allow to cool.
  7. Store in clean jar in refrigerator up to 6 weeks.
  8. Optional - I'd like to try this with skim milk instead of just water.
