Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Measure sourdough starter into bowl.
  2. Mix flour,baking powder,baking soda,salt,mace,ginger,and cinnamon,set aside.
  3. Add honey,oil,lemon peel,eggs and milk to sourdough starter along with dry ingredients and nuts.
  4. Beat well after each addition.
  5. Stir in chopped lettuce.
  6. Turn into greased and floured loaf pan.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes or until done.
  8. Cool in pan about 15 minutes,then invert,remove from pan and cool on rack.
  9. ~ Best if stored several hours before slicing.~
