Ingredients:

  • (every ingredient that it says to prepare the cake, as directed on the box)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the cake as directed on the box. Whether it is 1 pan or 2 you are using for a double layer cake.
  2. Let the cake cool until it's cool to the touch.
  3. Poke holes in the cake using a straw (or I like to use a chopstick).
  4. While the cakes are still in the pans, pour the lemonade concentrate onto the cake, letting it soak into it well.
  5. Refrigerate the cakes for about an hour, until the concentrate has had a chance to set into it.
  6. If just using 1 layer of cake, frost the cake with the lemon frosting. If using 2 cakes, frost it like you would a double layer cake, with PLENTY of frosting in the middle of the cake.
  7. Decorate the cake however you wish... It can be kept out on a counter to be warm, or you can refrigerate the cake so it's more like a nice tall cool glass of refreshing lemonade.
  8. Lemons are my favorite, so I love this as my birthday cake!
