Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb salt pork
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Cut meat into 1/2” cubes and fry with diced onion until nearly done.
  2. Combine mashed potato, unbeaten egg, salt and pepper then blend well.
  3. Add 1/2 of the flour and mix well then knead the rest of flour into dough using a bread board.
  4. Make tiny balls and open the center of each.
  5. Into this opening put a portion of the meat and onion mixture.
  6. Close the opening and roll in flour then drop into a kettle of boiling water and cook 30 minutes.
  7. Serve with a cream gravy.
