Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 4 tbsp. molasses
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingred. as listed in recipe
  2. Roll in balls & in white sugar
  3. Bake 8-12 minutes in 350 oven
