Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
  2. Line muffin pan with paper liners.
  3. Whisk flours in medium bowl.
  4. Beat 1/2 cup butter in large bowl until smooth.
  5. Add sugar and beat to blend.
  6. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  7. Add in fresh lime juice, 1 tablespoon lime peel, and food coloring.
  8. Beat in flour mixture in 3 additions, alternately with buttermilk in 2
  9. Additions.
  10. Spoon 1/3 cup batter into each liner.
  11. Bake cupcakes until tester inserted comes out clean, 20 to 25
  12. Minutes.
  13. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan to cool completely.
  14. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, 1/2 cup butter, 1 tablespoon limepeel and vanilla in medium bowl until smooth.
  15. Spread over cupcakes.
