June's Beef Brisket Marinade

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce (june likes low salt)
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp sherry

Directions:

  1. Combine ingredients for marinade. Place brisket on stove and cover with marinade, cook for 3-4 hours on stovetop at a simmer.
  2. Combine ingredients for marinade. Place brisket fat side up in a crock pot and cover with marinade. Cook for 3-4 hours on high or all day on low.
  3. June then thickens the juices with corn starch and uses as a gravy.
