Italian Almond Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup. butter
  • 1 cup. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cup. sifted flour
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • 2/3 cup. chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup. apricot or strawberry jam

Directions:

  1. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and flavoring. Add flour, baking
  2. Powder and milk. Mix well. Roll small pieces of dough and
  3. Roll between palms into balls. Roll balls in chopped nuts
  4. And place on greased cookie sheets. Make indentation with
  5. Thumb and fill with jam.
  6. Bake at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes.
  7. Makes 2-4 dozen.
