Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 (10 oz) can beef broth
  • 4 quarts water
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp poppy seed
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. Toss meat with flour to coat.
  2. In Dutch oven, brown meat in oil until well browned on all sides.
  3. Add onions, paprika, salt, pepper and beef broth.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 1-1/2 hours.
  5. Bring water, salt and oil to a boil; add noodles and cook for 8 minutes.
  6. Drain and rinse under hot water.
  7. Toss cooked noodles with butter and poppy seeds.
  8. Stir sour cream into meat mixture.
  9. Cook on low until heated through, stirring constantly.
  10. Serve goulash over noodles.
