Hot or Cold Sesame Asparagus

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook asparagus in a pot of boiling salted water until almost crisp tender.
  2. If serving chilled, cook until crisp tender.
  3. Drain.
  4. Place in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  5. Drain, pat dry, cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  6. Combine sesame oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  7. Add asparagus.
  8. Saute about 2 minutes until crisp tender.
  9. Mix lemon juice with soy sauce.
  10. If serving cold, mix 2 T olive oil, sesame oil, lemon juice and soy sauce.
  11. Do not cook further.
  12. Toss with asparagus to coat.
  13. Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
