Hot Buttered Rum Mix

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 lb brown sugar (about 1 1/8 cups tightly packed)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp real vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream all ingredients together until well blended.
  2. Store in a glass jar with tight fitting lid. Keep in your refrigerator. Can also be frozen for longer storage. Makes a wonderful gift when packaged in a decorative canning jar.
  3. To make a mug of Hot Buttered Rum: Add one tbsp of mix to 3/4 cup hot water and 1 oz rum. (Adjust to your personal taste.).
