Hot Bacon Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 lb bacon, diced
  • 1 1/2 tsp bacon fat

Directions:

  1. Combine flour, sugar and salt.
  2. Mix well with part of water (about 1/2 cup).
  3. Heat vinegar and remaining water.
  4. Add to flour mixture, stirring well.
  5. Fry bacon until crisp and drain, reserving 1 1/2 tsp.
  6. Of bacon fat.
  7. Add bacon and bacon fat to dressing mixture and cook to desired consistency.
