  1. Add the tomatoes to a medium saucepan. begin to heat on low, stirring regularly. In another pan, sauté the garlic and onion until the onion is transparent. The tofu may be added in one of two ways. If you want a more substantive sauce, cut it into 1/2 inch cubes and add it to the tomato. If you are less loving of tofu in the raw , blend the silken tofu in a blender until it is a liquid. Mix with the tomato. This will give a creamier sauce, better for kids and adults unaccepting of tofu. Add the remaining spices (and I recommend adding some of your own!) and simmer until needed. Makes six servings.
