Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3/4 tsp salt, divided
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place the almonds on a baking sheet.
  3. Roast for 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. Remove from the baking sheet and place in a large bowl.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup sugar with the honey , butter & 1/2 of the salt.
  6. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  7. Once it comes to a boil, do not stir.
  8. Boil for 3 minuites; it should darken slightly. If past the golden brown stage remove from heat to prevent burning.
  9. Pour the hot syrup over the nuts.
  10. Sprinkle with remaining salt and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  11. Transfer the nuts to a greased baking sheet and seperate with a fork.
  12. Cool completely.
  13. Store in a airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
