Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 tsp shortening
  • 2/3 cup whole milk

Directions:

  1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt
  2. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Add whipping cream, blend.
  4. Add milk.
  5. Let set 5 min.
  6. Should be soft dough. Turn out onto floured surface and knead gently for 30 seconds, don't over do it!
  7. I just pat out the dough to 1/2 in. thickness.
  8. Cut into rounds with cutter or glass and place on greased cookie sheet. If you use stoneware, you don't need to grease.
  9. Bake at 400 degree oven for 15 min.
