Ingredients:

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tarter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1-1/2 cups soft margarine
  • 1 cup ice water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Mix flour, cream of tarter and salt in mixing bowl stirring with knife and fork.
  2. Continue stirring adding 1 cup margarine and dry ingredients along with cold water a few tablespoons at a time.
  3. Continue to stir with fork until dry ingredients are kneaded in.
  4. Roll out pastry into a large round.
  5. Spread on a little margarine and sprinkle with a small amount of sugar.
  6. Fold over 4 times spreading more margarine and sugar each time.
  7. Fold over 2 or 3 more times each time rolling dough out to its original size.
  8. Cut into 2-inch squares then place on a baking sheet.
  9. Cook for 15 minutes at 350.
