Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. can (2 cup.) diced beets
  • 2 tbsps. sugar
  • 1/4 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup. vinegar
  • 2 tbsps. butter or margarine

Directions:

  1. Drain beets, reserving 1/3 cup liquid.
  2. In sauce pan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  3. Stir in reserved beet liquid and vinegar, and butter.
  4. Cook and stir until mixture thickens.
  5. Add beets and heat through.
  6. Serves 5.
