Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix the dates, nuts, raisins and sugar together in a large bowl.
  2. Meanwhile, boil 1 cup of water and add 1 teaspoons of baking soda to the boiled water.
  3. Now add this boiled water with the baking soda to the nut mixture and let it sit and cool down in the bowl to room temperature.
  4. Once the nut mixture is at room temperature, add the beaten egg to it and mix well.
  5. Now add the flour and mix thoroughly. The batter will be a brownish color.
  6. Grease baking pan with the oil lightly.
  7. If you want, you can line the bottom of the pan with waxed paper.
  8. Pour the batter in the pan.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour.
