Ingredients:

  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter or 2/3 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 2/3 cup chopped dates
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 325F degrees.
  2. Grease bottom of 2 loaf pans.
  3. In large bowl mix first 5 ingredients.
  4. Beat 1 minute at medium speed.
  5. Add next 5 ingredients.
  6. Beat 1 minute.
  7. Stir in dates, raisins, and pecans.
  8. Pour into greased pans.
  9. Bake for 55-60 minutes till toothpick comes out clean.
