Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the molasses, oil, buttermilk and lightly beaen egg.
  3. Slowly pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture and stir until uniform.
  4. Lighly grease a griddle and pan over medium-low(275 degrees works good for me) and cook the pankcakes for about 3 minutes on each side.
