Ingredients:

  • 1 (5 1/2 oz) can v-8 juice
  • 1 (1 3/4 oz) envelope lipton's dry onion soup mix
  • 1/3 cup heinz chili sauce (the bottled 1 with the tarter sauces on grocery shelf)
  • 1/4 cup finely diced celery
  • 1/4 cup onion, grated

Directions:

  1. In large bowl, whisk eggs, V-8 juice, onion soup mix and chili sauce; Add onion and celery; Work in grape-nuts (mixture will resemble meatloaf); Cover and refrigerate 4-5 hours or overnight.
  2. Form into patties, brown well on both sides in equal amounts of oil and margarine; Serve on buns
  3. Or you can put them in a 9x13 casserole and bake them in the over (350) for 30 minutes covered in spaghetti sauce.
