Grandma Florence's Applesauce Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups applesauce
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups raisins
  • 1 cup nuts

Directions:

  1. Mix or sift dry ingredients together.
  2. Add butter butter and applesauce.
  3. Mix all this together well.
  4. Pour into a greased tube pan.
  5. Bake at 350 for about an hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
