Banana Chip Bread (Lower Fat)

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted or 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp applesauce
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray a loaf pan with Pam.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients.
  4. In a separate larger bowl, mix the bananas, butter or oil, applesauce, and brown sugar.
  5. Stir in eggs; mix.
  6. Add the flour; mix thoroughly.
  7. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour into loaf pan, and bake 50 minutes.
  9. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
