Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 inch square baking pan.
  2. In a bowl stir together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and pepper. In a large bowl mix together the melted butter and molasses. Stir in the water until well mixed. Add the eggs and mix to combine. Add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Pour into greased baking pan and bake for 30 - 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm with whipped cream, ice cream or applesauce
