  1. Bring sugar, water, cardamom, ginger, and dried hibiscus flowers to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring often; boil 2 minutes. Cover and let stand 10 minutes. Pour through a fine wire-mesh strainer, discarding solids. Store chilled in airtight container up to 2 weeks.
