Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat grill to high.
  2. In a bowl combine the ground beef, salt and pepper and the onions. Form into 4 to 6 burgers.
  3. Place the burgers directly on the hot grill. Add the buns to the grill's top shelf to warm while you are cooking the burgers. Cook the burgers until desired doneness. Add cheese to each burger. Close the grill to melt. Top with the hash browns. Serve on the buns with ketchup, mustard and pickle and the top bun will be placed on top.
  4. Shredded hash browns:
  5. 2 large russet potatoes, peeled and shredded
  6. 1/2 cup chopped onion
  7. 1 teaspoon oil, plus more for cooking
  8. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  9. 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  10. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. In a large saute pan, over medium heat cook the mixture until golden brown. If the potatoes are sticking you may add more oil.
