Ingredients:

  • 1 cup canned milk (marathon florida staple, hurricane essential)
  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp of mace
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups finely chopped apples
  • 2 cups of ground raisins

Directions:

  1. Line pie pan with pastry, fluting edge.
  2. Mix milk, lemon juice, sugar and spices.
  3. Add fruit and pour into unbaked pie shell and bake in hot oven (450) for 10 minutes to set crust.
  4. Then reduce heat to 325 and bake 40 minutes longer or until the filling is set.
  5. A chunk of cream cheese is good on top of serving of pie.
