Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup friendship active starter
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F; lightly grease a cookie sheet or cake pan and set aside.
  2. Sift dry ingredients together three times.
  3. Make a well in the center of the sifted flour mix and add starter and melted margarine.
  4. Mix with fork then knead gently a few strokes.
  5. Roll dough into balls and flatten slightly with palm of hand or cut with biscuit cutter.
  6. Place close together in prepared pan and bake 10-15 minutes, depending on size of biscuits.
  7. Serve hot with butter and/or jelly.
