Fresh Apple Pie

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 dash salt
  • 6 cups apples ( macintosh or courtland)
  • 2 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 450.
  2. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.
  3. Mix lightly with apples.
  4. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan.
  5. Dot with butter.
  6. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust,.
