Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Sift flour with baking powder, soda, sugar and salt.
  2. Combine buttermilk, melted butter and beaten egg.
  3. Add to dry ingredients, stirring only till flour is moistened.
  4. Batter will be lumpy and thick.
  5. Bake on ungreased griddle.
  6. Makes 6 to 8 pancakes.
