Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk

Directions:

  1. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
  2. Beat egg yolks and add milk and shortening.
  3. Beat in flour with a rotary beater (or electric mixer).
  4. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
  5. Bake on hot griddle, turning to brown both sides.
  6. Makes 24.
