Flaky Onion Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup crisco
  • 2/3 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in medium bowl - cut in cream cheese and crisco till coarse crumbs form.
  2. Stir in green onions, make a well in center -
  3. Add milk stirring only till dough begins to stick and forms a ball.
  4. Turn dough out on well floured surface.
  5. Knead dough gently - 10-15 times.
  6. Roll or pat dough to 1/2 thickness.
  7. Cut dough with a 3 biscuit cutter.
  8. Place 2 apart on ungreased sheet.
  9. Bake at 450* for 10-12 minutes or golden brown.
