  1. Heat the olive oil and butter.
  2. Add the onion. Brown.
  3. Add the fennel slices with the pepper. Brown.
  4. Cover and a bit with water. Cover the pot.
  5. When the fennel has softened, add salt to taste. Then add the cream. Heat just enough to heat the cream - don't let it boil.
