Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450ºF.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, sugar and salt in medium bowl.
  3. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in Cheddar cheese.
  5. Add milk; stir until mixture forms soft dough.
  6. Place on lightly floured surface; knead 8 to 10 times or until smooth.
  7. Pat out dough into 6 inch square.
  8. Cut into nine squares.
  9. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  10. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Spread each warm biscuit with 2-1/2 teaspoons of the cream cheese spread.
