Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
  • 5 tsp granulated yeast (2 packets)
  • 5 tsp sea salt
  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1/2 onion
  • cheese slice

Directions:

  1. Dough: Mix yeast together with warm water.
  2. Mix in salt; add all the flour.
  3. Stir until everything is blended.
  4. Cover and let rise in a warm place 2 hours.
  5. Filling: Brown hamburger in skillet. Drain and set aside.
  6. Chop potatoes and onions into small pieces.
  7. Fry onion and potatoes with season salts with oil in skillet.
  8. Once the oil starts to burn off add hamburger and cook until done.
  9. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  10. After the dough has risen, divide it into half, then half again. If those are still too big, divide them down further.
  11. Stretch a section of dough out about the size of a hand. Be careful not to rip it.
  12. Place a few small scoops of hamburger/potato/onion mix in the middle.
  13. Place a piece of cheese on top.
  14. Fold up the edges of the dough until pinched shut on top.
  15. Grease pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until dough turns golden brown.
