Ingredients:

  • 1 chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 1 (10 oz) can beef broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup

Directions:

  1. Salt and pepper chicken and brown in oil.
  2. Remove chicken.
  3. Whisk flour with drippings in pan. Cook and stir for 2 minutes; add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer.
  5. Return chicken to pan and spoon sauce over.
  6. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
