Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dates
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Beat eggs until light and add to butter and sugar.
  3. Beat hard.
  4. Sift flour and baking powder.
  5. Take half of flour and roll dates& walnuts, then mix well.
  6. Bake in square tin 20 minutes.
  7. When done cut in oblong pieces and roll in powdered sugar.
