Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • dash salt

Directions:

  1. Beat margarine and shortening with electric mixer on high for 30 seconds
  2. Add half of the flour, then the egg, sugar, milk, baking powder, vanilla, and salt
  3. Beat till throroughly combined
  4. Beat in remaining flour
  5. Divide dough in half.
  6. Cover and chill for 3 hours
  7. On a lightly floured surface, roll half of the dough at a time 1/8 inch thick
  8. Cut in desired shapes
  9. Place on ungreased cookie sheat
  10. If desired sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on the cookies
  11. Bake in 375 degree oven for7-8 minutes or till edges of cookies are firm and bottoms are golden brown
  12. Frost if desired
  13. Enjoy =)
