Creamed Mixed Vegetables

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:

  1. Cook mixed vegetables according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, in small saucepan or skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter or margarine.
  3. Stir in 1 tablespoon flour.
  4. Add 1 cup milk; simmer, stirring constantly for 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and add 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sliced green onion and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  6. Pour over cooked, drained mixed vegetables.
  7. ***Makes about 1 1/4 cup sauce
