Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Stir together first 5 ingredients; cut in butter with a pastry blender. Stir in cranberries. Combine buttermilk, egg and vanilla; mix into flour mixture until just moistened.
  2. Drop dough in 10 tablespoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes or until golden.
